Stretching from Xining to Lhasa, this“engineering marvel”—known as the“Sky Road”—crosses the Kunlun Mountains, traverses the Hoh Xil region, and climbs over the Tanggula Pass, bringing new opportunities to“the Roof of the World”.Over the past two decades, the railway has done far more than transportation across the plateau.
